SINGULAR CAMPAIGNS

Crowdfunding is being innovative, is daring to develop new ideas and when we read news we can see that there are many singular ideas.

A brief overview of some unusual campaigns in July, with first of all a campaign for Wi-Fi in space. Solstar Space Co has chosen crowdfunding to try to stay connected in the solar system. Solstar Space Co chose to raise $1 million through equity crowdfunding investment. The tests are performed on Blue Origin, the commercial space-flight company founded by Jeff Bezos. Millennials will may then be able to post their future photos directly from their rocket seats.

Meanwhile on Earth, men are pedaling at the Tour de France and the American cyclist Lawson Craddock, who crashed during the first stage and fracturing his scapula, had finish the race. By fighting during each stage for following the peloton, he became the most encouraged cyclist of the 2018 Tour. Hence, he decided to take this opportunity to launch a crowdfunding campaign to renovate a Texas velodrome damaged by Hurricane Harvey in September 2017. Thanks to his popularity and media's infatuation for his bravery, the donation-based crowdfunding campaign, which had as objective 100 000$ succeeded in raising more than double.

Across the hemisphere, in Australia, Picaluna’s compay wants to connect funeral providers with customers. A new way to plan a funeral and in order to improve its online service, the platform has chosen equity crowdfunding. Therefore, the company wishes to be able to provide a tailor-made service at a lower cost.
